This Saturday, September 24th, The Cool Kids are introducing an innovative spin on the traditional hip hop show in the form of Night School. Live from Thalia Hall, the multi-faceted event will blend the duo’s passions, in and out of music, to present a unique cultural experience.

The hometown heroes and global trendsetters have split the night's festivities into three periods, all happening under one roof: a dinner curated by Chuck Inglish (6pm-7:30pm), a live Mystery School podcast with Sir Michael Rocks and Owen Bones (8pm-9pm), and a full-on show headlined by The Cool Kids (10pm-11:30pm).

Off the heels of their triple album, Before Shit Got Weird, this weekend’s event continues to show their ever-lasting ambition to create unforgettable experiences for their fans and why they’ve remained revered by those moving the needle in culture. Read below to learn more about what we’re looking forward to at Night School and get your tickets here.

1. The Very Special Guests

It’s evident that every minute detail of the concert has been planned with the purpose of the attendee having a good ass time. Look no further than the names of guests slated to appear throughout the night. Zack Fox is hosting, Joe Freshgoods will be chopping it up with the Mystery School team and Guapdad4000 and Joey Purp will be performing during the third period.

On top of that, we’d be remiss to omit the high chance we’ll see surprise appearances by a few of the many talented friends The Cool Kids have made over their career.

2. Tasting the Choriqueso Mac N Cheese

The dinner portion of the concert will feature a bespoke menu curated by Chuck Inglish (who, rumor has it, can really chef it up) and Dusek’s Chef Ben Truesdell. The whole list reads as a delicious culinary exploration, but if we can only get our hands on the Choriqueso Mac N Cheese, we’d still call the night a success.

3. Mystery School IRL

Dubbed as “the first interactive late-night show on the internet,” we’re eager to see how this Mystery School experiment translates in front of a live crowd. Mikey Rocks and Owen have undeniable chemistry and have created some hilarious commentary on extremely-online moments.

4. The Cool Kids Performing

There’s a lot of really cool activations line-up during the event, but I doubt any of it will trump seeing this legendary group perform the classics and the new stuff. Their music changed hip hop and arguably the music industry. In many ways, they are the blueprint to your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper and you can ask them about it too. We’re especially looking forward to listening to their latest album, Before Shit Got Weird, which is admittedly a bit bloated (it’s a triple album after all), and yet it’s still one of the best releases of the year.
